False Ceiling Installation

False ceiling installation — gypsum, POP, grid & PVC systems with cove lighting, crack-free finishing and clean framing. Free contractor quotes.

False Ceiling Installation

Nothing transforms a room faster than the plane you rarely look at. A false ceiling hides wiring, AC ducts and that patchy slab, adds a layer of thermal and sound insulation, and — with cove lighting — gives the room the warm, layered glow that makes flats look designer-done.

TrueInstaller connects you with verified false ceiling contractors who work in gypsum, POP and grid systems, with clean framing and crack-free finishing.

Ceiling systems we install

  • Gypsum board ceilings — smooth, fast and paint-ready on GI channel frames; the living room standard.
  • POP ceilings — hand-moulded curves, borders and medallions for traditional looks.
  • Grid ceilings — lay-in tiles for offices and shops; every tile lifts out for service access.
  • PVC ceilings — moisture-proof panels for bathrooms and balconies.
  • Wood-slat & designer rafts — feature islands with concealed strip lighting.

Frequently asked questions

How much height does a false ceiling take?

Typically 4–8 inches below the slab. Rooms above 9 ft carry it comfortably; for lower rooms, a perimeter-only cove keeps the centre full height.

Gypsum or POP — which is better?

Gypsum is faster, cleaner and joint-free for flat designs; POP wins for heavy curves and mouldings. Many homes combine both.

Will it crack over time?

Not if framed on proper GI channels with taped joints and expansion gaps. Ask your contractor for a workmanship warranty in the quote.
