Ordinary glass breaks into daggers; toughened glass crumbles into blunt pebbles. That single property — plus 4–5× the strength — is why safety codes and sensible installers insist on it for doors, partitions, railings, shopfronts, table tops and anywhere people and glass share space.
TrueInstaller connects you with verified toughened glass suppliers and installers who process certified glass to your sizes and fit it with the right hardware, gaskets and silicone.
Where we install toughened glass
- Doors & partitions — offices, shops and homes (see glass partition).
- Railings & balustrades — stairs, balconies, terraces (see glass railing).
- Shopfronts & façades — large fixed panes with SS patch fittings.
- Shower enclosures & kitchen backsplashes — heat- and impact-resistant panels.

How it works
- Post your requirement — application (door/railing/partition), sizes and your city.
- Measurement — final sizes and hardware holes confirmed on site (toughened glass can't be cut later).
- Processing — cut, edge-polished, holed, then tempered in the furnace (3–6 days).
- Installation — fitted with certified hardware, gaskets and neutral-cure silicone.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know the glass is really toughened?
Look for the permanent stamp/mark from the toughening plant on a corner of each panel, and ask for the test certificate with your bill.
Toughened or laminated — what's the difference?
Toughened is stronger and crumbles safe; laminated holds shards together on an interlayer. Overhead and high-railing jobs use laminated-toughened for both benefits.
Can toughened glass be drilled or cut after delivery?
No — all cutting, holes and notches must be finalised before tempering. Measure twice, temper once.
