Skylight Installation

Skylight installation — fixed glass, polycarbonate dome, openable & walk-on skylights with proper flashing and waterproofing. Free surveyed quotes.

Skylight Installation

Some rooms can't have another window — but almost every top floor can have the sky. A skylight brings daylight straight down into staircases, bathrooms, kitchens and double-height living rooms, cutting daytime lighting bills to zero and making small spaces feel architect-designed.

TrueInstaller connects you with verified skylight installers who cut, frame, glaze and — critically — waterproof roof openings so they stay dry through every monsoon.

Skylight types

  • Fixed glass skylights — toughened/laminated glass on aluminium frames, the classic choice.
  • Polycarbonate domes — light, impact-proof and economical for utility spaces.
  • Openable/vented skylights — manual or motorised opening for hot-air exhaust.
  • Walk-on skylights — structural glass panels set into usable terraces.
  • Pyramid & ridge designs — statement glazing for atriums and villas.

  3. Framing & glazing — curb built, frame fixed, glass set on structural gaskets.
  4. Waterproofing — flashing, membrane and sealant layers finished and water-tested.

Frequently asked questions

Will a skylight leak?

Not if the curb and flashing are done right — that's most of the job. Insist on a water test before handover and a leak warranty in the quote.

Won't it heat up the room?

Choose tinted, Low-E or double glazing to cut heat while keeping light; openable vents also flush hot air.

Is it safe overhead?

Yes — laminated or toughened glass is mandatory overhead; laminated holds together even if cracked.

Let the daylight in.
