Frequently asked questions
How do I know I'm getting genuine SS304?
Ask for the material test certificate or a magnet check demo (304 is barely magnetic) and insist the grade is written in the quote. Cheap "SS-look" pipe rusts at the welds within months.
SS304 or SS316 — which do I need?
Inland homes: SS304 is fine. Within a few kilometres of the sea, or around pools: SS316 resists pitting from salt and chlorine.
What maintenance does an SS railing need?
A wipe with soapy water monthly; a dab of SS polish once a year keeps mirror finishes bright. No painting, ever.
